JetBrains AI Assistant and Junie (the agentic coding agent) integrate AI capabilities across all JetBrains IDEs. Junie CLI is in beta with a free tier, and Junie is now integrated into AI Chat for unified agentic workflows. They support project-level rules via .aiassistant/rules/ markdown files, Junie-specific MCP server configuration, @rule: prompt references, and provide controls for disabling AI on specific files. Rules can be created from Settings > Tools > AI Assistant > Rules.
