Bolt is StackBlitz's browser-based AI development platform for building full-stack applications entirely in the browser. Bolt V2/Cloud adds databases, hosting, and auth. Features UI-based MCP Connectors and a now visible/editable `.bolt/ignore` file. It uses .bolt/prompt for project-specific system prompts and supports AGENTS.md for project context, powered by WebContainers for instant environment setup. Also offers a UI-based "Project Knowledge" feature (gear icon > Project Settings > Knowledge) for persistent background instructions that does not use config files.
